Home Depot Canada products to be sold through Grocery Gateway
Mississauga, Ontario - October 30 - Home Depot Canada has signed an agreement with online retailer Grocery Gateway to sell Home Depot products in cyberspace, according to a report in the Toronto Star newspaper.
Grocery Gateway customers will be able to purchase Home Depot items through the Grocery Gateway Web site. Grocery Gateway, based in Mississauga, Ontario, makes grocery deliveries to customers at home. In addition to placing Home Depot’s logo on Grocery Gateway’s Web site, the home improvement retailer’s logo will be placed on Grocery Gateway delivery trucks. Home Depot Canada does not maintain a Web site.
Grocery Gateway executive vp John Mozas said hundreds of Home Depot items should be available for order and delivery within the next month. The items will range from duct tape to screwdrivers and must be small enough to fit in the plastic bins used to deliver groceries.
Grocery Gateway claims that more than 15,000 customers have used its service in the past 60 days and that it has served more than 110,000 customers since 1999.
